As I was browsing some of the many team building options in San Francisco I discovered Mr. Treasure Hunt. Mr. Treasure Hunt designs urban adventures for corporate groups in the San Francisco and Bay Area.

The clues themselves were not easy at all, they really forced you to think creatively. Avital Tours

As I was searching for team building options local to San Francisco, I discovered Avital Tours – walking food tours that are for locals, by locals. They have locations in San Francisco and Los Angeles that can be tailored for groups ranging from 8 to 80 people in size. They offer three different private tours in the Bay Area: the Mission District Food Tour, the Union Square Cocktail Tour, and the North Beach Food Tour.

Their corporate option, the Mission District Food Tour, is designed with a goal of having their local guests learn something about their own back yard. Avital collects a series of smaller culinary experiences into one larger one: they takes their guests back into local restaurant kitchens to talk to the owners and meet the chefs, and  introduce the group to unique food and alcohol pairings.

Their website clarifies the guest limits: there is an 8 person minimum for private tours, so groups of 1-7 can join a public tour, or pay for an 8 person tour, groups of up to 30 can all take one tour with one guide, and if your group is over 30, Avital will work with you to organize multiple smaller tours with a few of their guides. They offer tours starting between 11am-6pm Monday through Friday, and 3-6pm on Sundays. Private tours on Saturday are only offered depending on availability.

They are highly reviewed on both Yelp and Trip Advisor, maintaining a 5-Star rating average. One Yelp reviewer said this about their Mission District tour:
